This is the Paducah Sun-Democrat newspaper article on October 01, 1929 telling about the construction of the first gymnasium for Heath High School. The 1929 Heath basketball team had just won the Kentucky Boy’s State Basketball Tournament that year. They had no gym at Heath at that time. They either practiced outside or had to borrow time at someone else’s gym. The 1929-1930 Heath Pirate team was the first to use this gym.
